Silicon Single-Electron Pump The single-electron pump can literally transfer single electrons even under reverse bias conditions, with negligibly small power dissipation and extremely high transfer accuracy. We proposed a new device structure for the pump, and fabricated the world's first silicon-based single-electron pump.
