Media Information Laboratory
is aiming at enriching our lives by developing computers that can
see objects, hear sounds and speech, and talk with humans. Currently
we focus on real world speech recognition based on signal separation
technologies and improved speech modeling, utilizing non-verbal information
in human-computer communication, and quick and accurate media information
search.
"NTT R&D Forum
in Atsugi" was held on October 29, 2003. Media Information Laboratory
exhibited two research results,"Blind source separation in a
real environment" and " Find that background music!-- Quick
retrieval of background music signals --".
