Ultrafast electron dynamics characterized by attosecond light source

Hiroki MASHIKO received his B.E. and M.E. degrees from Tokai University, Japan, in 2001 and 2003 and Ph.D. degree from graduate school of science and engineering, Saitama University, Japan, in 2006. In 2003-2006, he was Junior Research Associate (JRA) at RIKEN, Japan. He was postdoctoral fellow at Kansas State University, USA from 2006 to 2009. He was a postdoctoral fellow and project research scientist in Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), USA from 2009 to 2012. He joined NTT Basic Research Laboratories, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation in 2012 as a Research Specialist and from 2013 as a Research Scientist. Since then, he has been engaged in the development of attosecond light source and study of ultrafast electron motion in atoms, molecules, and solids. He was a visiting researcher at The University of Tokyo, Japan during 2015-2017. He was appointed as Distinguished Scientist of NTT in 2018. He is currently a member of Quantum Optical Physics Research Group. He received the Young Scientists’ Prize, the Commendation for Science and Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in 2018. He is a member of the American Physical Society (APS), the Optical Society of America (OSA), The Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP), and the Laser Society of Japan.
