Effect of intersection luminance on plaid motion perception
- Motion transparency is more likely to be perceived (i.e., coherent motion is less likely to be perceived) when the luminance of grating intersection is consistent with the interpretation of transparet gratings (upper movie), than when it is inconsistent (lower movie).
- This suggests an influence of pattern information on motion perception.
