NTT-BRL School 2013

The 6th NTT-BRL School will be held in conjunction with the International Symposium on Nanoscale Transport and Technology 2013(ISNTT2013) , which will be held at the NTT Atsugi R&D center. All participants of NTT-BRL School have a poster presentation of your research in ISNTT 2013. Applicants are also required to submit the abstract of their poster presentation.

Guidelines

Ph.D students or master's course students who have knowledge in Nano, Quantum science or in fields of physics and materials can apply for this school. Japanese students are acceptable as well, but please note that all seminars will be given in English. The number of participants is limited to approximately 30. Applicants are required to register online by filling out the application form on the website.

Financial Support

NTT will cover the following expenses for Ph.D or master's course students:

  • * Round trip airfare between your airport and Narita/Haneda Airport.
  • * Accommodation fee including breakfast for 4 nights from Nov. 23 (Sat) to Nov.27 (Wed).
  • * Lunch during the school.

Please note that NTT will NOT cover the following expenses:

  • * All domestic transportation expenses such as the fare between Narita/Haneda Airport and Hon-Atsugi Station.
  • * Most of the dinners during the school will be provided. However please note that additional meals should be covered at your personal expense.

A valid traveler’s insurance policy is required to attend this school.

For Ph.D. or master’s course students who are currently enrolled in a university in Japan, NTT will cover the following expenses:

  • * All domestic transportation expenses including round-trip airfare.
  • * Accommodation fee including breakfast for 4 nights from Nov. 23 to Nov. 27.
  • * Lunch during the school.

The reimbursement of your airfare will be credited to your bank account one month after the school finishes. Participants who use air travel must purchase discount tickets and acquire NTT's authorization prior to purchasing. Please note that receipt will be necessary to process your claim.

Passport & Visa

All Ph.D students or master’s course students must have a valid passport when entering Japan. In addition, persons coming from certain countries must have visas issued by the Japanese Embassy or Consulate in their respective countries. Please check with your travel agent. Participants who require visas should allow plenty of time for their application to be processed. For details, please contact your nearest Japanese Embassy or Consulate. If required, NTT's staff will help in procuring visas.

Traveler's insurance

Participants need to prepare traveler's insurance in your country and send a copy of the insurance certificate to NTT by fax: +81-46-270-2358 or before your departure.
